FECCEG stands for La Federación Comercializadora de Café Especial de Guatemala (Federal commercialization of specialty coffee of Guatemala), and it is a cooperative that represents 12 smaller groups, for a total of around 1,900 smallholder members. Most of the producers rely on coffee and other agricultural products for their livelihood. Producer members of the co-ops tend to do their own wet milling on their farms, and some do all of their drying as well. The dry mill and warehouse is operated by FECCEG, which also has export capabilities.
